Since their inception, CNA courses have become very popular. The main reason for this could be hefty salaries that CNAs fetch. Moreover, the course demands no special merit requirements for enrolling, as two years of college post school is enough to get you certified. In addition, unlike registered nurses, you need not have to wait over three year and complete your internship for getting a job, as with CNA certification, you become eligible to practice nursing soon within a few weeks of time.

Financial Independence:

Youths due to this reason are inclined towards free CNA training courses these days. Nowadays, a large number of youth seek for early financial independence to be able to fulfill their demands. CNA certification allows them to achieve these dreams. They act as a platform to those desiring an early ownership of responsibilities and independence. A CNA course could have duration between few weeks to few months including the span of internship. Moreover, with certification, you become entitled to work in similar environment as doctors and registered nurses do. In fact, a CNA goes through parallel course works similar to as RN (Registered Nurses) and LPN (Licensed Practitioner Nurse) do. However, comparatively the syllabus is less in-depth. The syllabus more stresses on the practical side of job and thus, equips you with better skills at work.

Fees:

You might be well aware on what it takes to become a doctor. Apart from strong merit requirements, you require paying high educational fees. However, if you compare to CNA jobs, then they might look comparatively simpler to opt. Most certification provider ask for $ 800 as the total course fee. An Associates Degree May Be A Wise Choice For Students Who Struggle With Funding And GPA Scores

Most high school seniors dream of the day that they can pack their gear and travel to an out of state university. Unfortunately, a small percentage of high school students actually realize their dream. Some lack financial resources and others lack the test scores and GPA rating. What they are left with is a choice of enrolling in a technical school or pursuing an Associates Degree at a nearby community college.

Community colleges offer many advantages to students seeking an Associates Degree. Time spent in a 2-year program give students the ability to concentrate on the standard required classes, such as Psychology, Biology, Algebra, English, and History without the added pressure of concentrated classes. This is especially beneficial if students have yet to decide on a major. They can take electives in between to explore various degree options in case they decide to follow up the Associates Degree with a Bachelors Degree.

Associates Degree programs, especially at local community colleges, have very reasonable tuition rates. Some surveys claim that these programs are less than 1/3 the cost of in-state public university tuition. Students are able to take advantage of government grants, school scholarships, and work-study programs to cover the cost of tuition, student fees, books, and personal expenses. Some students can easily walk away with an Associates Degree without a balance due tag hanging over their head.

An Associates Degree is a great starting place for older, first time college students and single parents. The less restricted structure of a community college and the flexibility of the classes make it fairly easy for this demographic to transition back into a learning environment. The small student-teacher ratio helps to facilitate effective learning for students who have been absent from the education scene for a long period of time.

Community colleges offer non-credit classes that help low GPA students gain a solid foundation before progressing to credit courses. This is especially significant for Math, Reading, and Writing courses. All three subjects are progressive courses, which require students to master the basics before advancing to higher-level courses. Community Colleges have these services readily available to students.

Another vital student service is day care provision. Many of the community colleges have on-campus day care centers that care for children while their parent is in class. This offering is a lifesaver for single parents, as childcare issues is often the determining factor as to whether they can pursue their education aspirations. On-campus daycare services relieve the student-parents of stress and anxiety, which allows them to focus on classroom instruction.

For those who plan to take the next progressive step, an Associates Degree is an entrance ticket into a four-year university of their choice. With an Associates Degree and a community college transcript chocked full of A's and B's, students can apply to any four-year college or university in the country. That is why students should take advantage of all of the learning resources and one-on-one instruction that is typically associated with Community Colleges.

Securing an Associates Degree or an online associate degree can definitely yield great benefits. One chief benefit of this degree program is the exceptionally low tuition. Another is the personalized instruction, fundamental course offerings, and essential tutorial services that help students succeed in every class.

Where Did All the Water Go? - This Planet Is Dry!

How might a watery planet lose all of its water? How might a watery planet gain new water? Well, there are many speculations as to how water arrives on a planet, such as a near miss from a comet glancing the atmosphere, or one hitting the atmosphere and the severe temperatures turns the ice-water to steam, and when it cools it becomes rain putting water on the planet. There are other theories as well, but that one stands to reason. Okay so let's talk about this for a second, shall we?

Obviously when humans travel to other planets and moons they will be looking for water, because this life form requires it. If we can find it we need to make it, or extract hydrogen and oxygen putting them together so we have water to drink. Now then let me ask you a question; What happens on a watery planet or moon with barely any atmosphere and low gravity when a geyser shoots off and the water easily reaches near escape velocity? Well it just turns out that other people have been asking similar questions and come up with some rather interesting theories, theories which actually do hold water.

There was an interesting article recently in Space Ref Online News Titled, "Tidal Forces Could Squeeze Out Planetary Water," posted on February 9, 2012 - discussing an article in Astrobiology Magazine. The article stated,

"Alien planets might experience tidal forces powerful enough to remove all their water, leaving behind hot, dry worlds like Venus, researchers said. These findings might significantly affect searches for habitable exoplanets. Although some planets might dwell in regions around their star friendly enough for life as we know it, they could actually be lifelessly dry worlds."

If there is a large moon, or a planet which is tugging on a moon - that could create seismic events and heat within the planet or moon, and that would push hot energy and out gases up through its surface. Any water on that surface could be shot quite a distance into space. Perhaps even enough to escape the gravity dwell and drift away.

Certainly a moon could lose its water that way. Regardless of how the water got there in the first place. A planet with quite a bit less gravity than Earth could have the same problem, or similar circumstances causing it. Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it, as the scientists and researchers in this matter just might have something there.

Trust Self and Let Your Brain Steer You Right!

A few months ago, someone told me that we knew less about the human brain than the dark side of the moon. In fact, he was quoting an intellectual psychologist of a past period. However true that was at the time that quote was produced - I don't think it is quite true today. Further, I would say that there's a lot more to know about the human brain, than the dark side of the moon. Okay so, let's talk about this for a moment shall we?

It seems that every single day I read something in the science news about new discoveries of the brain. We are unlocking all the secrets in rapid succession. Each incremental gain of knowledge in neuroscience is bringing us closer to the merging of computers and machines. There was an interesting article in Medical Express Online News which was titled; "Warning! Collision imminent! The brain's quick interceptions help you navigate the world," posted on February 7, 2012, which stated;

"Researchers at The Neuro and the University of Maryland have figured out the mathematical calculations that specific neurons employ in order to inform us of our distance from an object and the 3-D velocities of moving objects and surfaces relative to ourselves."

Sure, well, this is excellent research, and I would submit to you that this same principle works in reverse, as in when a human being is about to crash into something hard, such as the ground, or tree stump, or after striking something moving or fixed and about to hit something else. Why do I suspect this and believe there are more mathematical calculations to discover? Well, I've been involved previously in racing motorcycles, and as a high performance athlete with an intensive and often reckless training routine.

It's amazing what the brain can do, running over big rocks and knowing exactly where to put your feet, or when you start to fall, your feet instinctively and in a split second reflex catch your balance. The mind is doing all of this and it is amazing fast at it and incredibly good at it. So, there are more mathematical formulas to discover you see.

Obviously, without the ability of humans to have these attributes, they probably wouldn't have survived and made it through the evolutionary process to where they are today. Therefore it should not surprise anyone. Nevertheless, the ability to watch this in real time and put a mathematical formula to it is quite intriguing. In fact, this will help us in the future as we merge man and machine, or we get to the point where we can drive our cars by thought, just as today folks are able to operate prosthesis devices with their brain.

This would eliminate quite a bit of reaction time, and it would make everything much safer. There are also applications for exoskeletons, public safety, and military robotics. It figures that evolution would have figured out a way to solve these problems, and now that we have the mathematics behind the brain's process in all this and its understanding of its environment around it, we are that much closer to our future reality. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Types of Telescopes: Modern Versions

Telescopes have been around for hundreds of years and their birth is commonly associated with Galileo although in reality Hans Lippershey, Zacharias Janssen and Jacob Metius all laid claim to inventing earlier models. These "original" telescopes that were created are still mostly what people associate with when they think of telescopes but it is a universe away from what modern telescopes have evolved into.

This original telescope design is known as Refracting or Refractor telescopes and consist of a singular tube that light passes down in a straight line to the eyepiece. These types of telescopes are still around today but they have some limits in modern astronomy. They are rugged, great for lunar or planetary viewing and good in light polluted urban areas, but are limited when used for deep space viewing. Because the lenses are expensive to produce the modern consumer is a world away from buying a powerful, high quality refracting telescope. They also have other negative aspects associated with them in that they are often bulky and space consuming. The images viewed through refracting telescopes are also subject to color aberrations around the edges of the viewed object.

These problems were solved in 1733 by Isaac Newton who built the first reflector or reflecting telescope. Today these are also known as Dobsonian or Newtonian telescopes. These telescopes utilize mirrors to reflect light out a side opening to the eyepiece. Modern reflectors provide bigger bang for your buck because mirrors are cheaper to produce meaning they come with wider apertures. They are superior for viewing deep space images. They do come with drawbacks however. They are not as durable as their refractor counterparts and they require more maintenance. In addition to this the mirrors may need recoating after a number of years.

The new kid on the block these days is a hybrid design utilizing lenses and mirrors. These modern telescopes are based on a design, which was developed by Bernhard Schmidt and they have all the positive attributes of both refractor and reflector telescopes. This design is used in a range of scopes from small amateur backyard versions to professional observatory models. The one and only drawback is that they tend to be more expensive than the other two types of telescope.

Telescopes have come an incredibly long way in both design and technology since their formative years. Today a lot of modern telescopes are computerized and you view the image on your screen. The control interface allows the user to move and save co-ordinates in their computer so they can easily view the same point repeatedly. Computer controlled versions also allow photographic and video recording of the night sky.

Today it is easier than ever to get into astronomy and is an especially positive experience to share with the family. Decent introductory telescopes can be purchased online or at good department and specialty stores for under $300. These will let you introduce your kids to the night sky and give them a good appreciation of the cosmos. If you want to educate your kids more there are several Internet sites that are hooked up to more powerful telescopes in observatories around the globe. You can logon and in some cases control these telescopes from their website and get the feel of having your own observatory with having to leave your home or spend any money.

Have The Edge Over Your Competitors With RTO Training and Consulting

Ensuring that you are one step ahead as well as staying highly skilled and precise within your chosen field can be accomplished through efficient RTO training & consulting. First of all, you'll have to gather a list of possible agencies which you can proceed to analyze and eventually determine which RTO (Registered Training Organisation) instruction agency will suit you perfectly. Considering the kind of service that you'll want to avail of and examining what you wish to be able to gain from the ensuing training is crucial to this particular process. While researching, you can choose to inquire the prospective agencies and shed light to their credentials, agenda, regulations as well as their worthwhile accomplishes in the process.

Setting a fixed standard is vital to acquiring a reliable RTO training & consulting company. This means that you will more easily get rid of substandard agencies and be able to know as to whether the remaining prospective agencies are more likely to prove themselves as effective training providers. Basing any of the chosen agencies with a carefully set up criteria is entirely up to you. So make sure that this list is able to collect agencies which are right for your financial budget and can readily train you on the particular area of yours that is in need of improvement.

A solid RTO training is undoubtedly a valuable advantage. Gaining the maximum output coming from prospective agencies can be done after following a set of factors closely. You, your colleagues, or perhaps your staff needs to be trained adequately for a chosen industry. So the agency that you'll hire must already know the basics which are evidently being utilised within that particular field and be able to harness it effectively and even improve upon it, if possible. They must also be on the lookout for rising trends and innovative developments that have the potential to make the training a lot easier for their clients as well as making it fun and enjoyable in the long run. Likewise, instructors under the management need to be qualified and have a certain degree of authority and accessibility. This makes them more appealing and pretty much reliable to their trainees, which is obviously works to the advantage of everyone involved. Agencies which are dedicated to providing impressive results from their clients are also a much better option. You'll be even luckier if you find a specific RTO training company with the right RTO system that shares discounts to loyal clients in addition to producing relevant returns. Keep in mind that the type of agency that you employ decides the future of your own career, as well as your colleagues or employees. So finding the ideal registered training organisation should be implemented with careful consideration.

What Will They Hack Next - Your Thoughts First, Then Your Mind, and Then Your DNA

If I were to say to you that one day the hackers will hack your mind, you would probably think I was crazy, or some sort of a science fiction nut. Well, I do write a little bit of science fiction, but I assure you I'm not crazy. In fact, I've been tracking all the new neuroscience technologies and it appears that they are getting very close to being able to map an individual human brain. Once they can do this, and once they understand it more, they will be able to create human brain computer interfaces. Okay so, let's talk about this for a moment shall we?

There was an interesting new research report that was discussed at Scripps Research Institute in a press release titled; "Scripps Research and Technion Scientists Develop Biological Computer to Encrypt and Decipher Images," on February 7, 2012, which stated;

"Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute in California and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed a "biological computer" made entirely from biomolecules that is capable of deciphering images encrypted on DNA chips. Although DNA has been used for encryption in the past, this is the first experimental demonstration of a molecular cryptosystem of images based on DNA computing."

The article also talked about the potential union between bioscience, neuroscience, and computer science, as well as the proverbial bio-computer challenge. The folks at Above Top Secret "conspiracy theory" website were all over this with futuristic doom and gloom Sci Fi tale soon to unfold. Although I wouldn't go quite that far, I can see a dilemma where human medicine and health care collides with an ethical question about how to move forward with this new knowledge as this science advances.

If in the future you are connected to your personal tech devices, or rather your personal tech devices are embedded inside of you to help you do everything you do better - including perhaps having an extra lens such as a contact lens type situation in front of your eye to read the display, then you will be one with that very computer technology, albeit more advanced than your personal tech devices that you have today, which often seem to be an extension of the palm of your hand.

Now then, if hackers are hacking into your personal tech devices, and those personal tech devices are connected to your brain, and your brain is connected to your body and your human biosystem, along with helping moderate the fluctuations in those biological systems, while simultaneously being coupled to your DNA, then someone can actually hack into your body, your DNA, and start changing things. That's pretty scary isn't it?

Yes it is, in fact it's as scary as something like cancer, but in a way, wouldn't we be talking about the same thing at that point? A regular virus allowing for cancer to occur, or a computer virus throwing your entire DNA out of whack - what's the difference? Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on.

What It Takes To Be An Ultrasound Technician

Because a lot of importance is put on health, there are a lot of jobs involved in the medical field and each role has its own set of responsibilities and area of expertise. One of the most basic requirements in a hospital operation is machines used for processing specimen, for diagnosis, and many more. Among them is a sonographic scanner which is very important in determining the condition of internal organs. But this machine will not run by itself. It needs an ultrasound technician to operate.

The sonographic scanner is used to create images of the internal organs with the use of sound waves directed to the human body. The ultrasound technician is responsible in programming the machine properly to obtain the best image possible for diagnostic purposes received by a physician. With this said, the ultrasound tech has a big responsibility on his hands. Aside from the technicalities though, it is also the responsibility of an ultrasound tech to explain the procedure thoroughly to the patient and set proper expectations. Among the most common procedures an ultrasound tech has to run involves developing fetuses but h may also serve as a specialist in the sonographic procedures for the brain, the heart and other internal organs.

Although individuals can learn the handling of the machine with proper training, employers do prefer those with formal education and are well versed with the human anatomy. And while licensure is not a requirement to land a job as an ultrasound tech, most hospitals favor those whose names are registered under the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or ARDMS. Such status can only be obtained by obtaining a passing grade on examination involving physical principles as well as instrumentation. Once passed, the ultrasound tech is considered a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. But since the job still requires patient interaction, it is also essential that the ultrasound technician possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

It does not matter whether an ultrasound tech obtains his education in a vocational school, at a community college or a university as long as he can perform the job well. But it does make the difference if he obtains education from ultrasound technician schools in California. He can get a better chance at landing a good job getting his education from such a school with caliber. Moreover, proper registration can get him the desired title of being an RDMS for further recognition.

Public Administration and The Persian Empire

Great stories were told of the Persian Empire. An ancient civilization that molded and strengthened today's way of public administering and governing. Persian Empire is a true to life story of great leadership that turned its nation into a kingdom and influenced neighboring countries.

Governance of a country and its implementation of laws were successfully handled by its leaders. Cyrus the Great and Darius the Great were known leaders of Persia. Each leader gave the empire new set of laws to make the empire strong and stable. The addition of laws paved way to the rise of the empire. Making a glorious triumph over other countries, Persian governance were imitated by other countries but never leveled. Such strong advocacy and strong will to govern by its leaders with a trusted system to protect the sovereign ruler and its people were astonishingly displayed with character by the Persians.

A well structured government that was perfectly executed with confidence. Theories and practices of both the governance and public administration of Persia were great foundations of creating binding laws to inhibit full management by its leaders. Persia conquered antiquity with political stabilization and administrative implementation. Greatness that comes along with the names of their leaders transcends the new and modern-day governance and public administration. Immense implication of modern-day governance and public administration can be traced fully with the rise of the Persian Empire and to be exact is the Achaemenid World-State Empire which existed in 559-330 B.C..

Cyrus the Great introduced an empire where four states comprised it. It is a so-called multi-state empire encompassing the whole of Pasargadae, Babylon, Susa and Ekbatana. Pasargadae was the main capital among the four states. Each state is governed by a satrap under the satrapy system with controlled autonomy by Cyrus the Great. A general is appointed to keep military forces active while maintaining peace and order. A state secretary keeps files and records that are purposely for safe keeping. It may contain top-secret orders or missions or simply a record of government policy. A postal system was personally created by Cyrus the Great with several relay stations across the empire called ChaparKhaneh. A special unit of highly skilled and trained soldiers called Immortals is included in an army of thousand men.

When Darius the Great became the ruler, he moved the capital from Pasargadae to Persepolis. Darius revolutionized the economy of the whole empire. He actually altered the economy by silver and gold coinage. He introduced a tax system that is suited for each satrapy's condition. The tax system is based on productivity and economic output of each of the four states. Darius managed the agricultural system to provide sufficient food for the army while stabilizing the economy.

Persian legacy still linger in the air. Unified states under one ruler exists. Satraps or governors have their own state to govern. Satrapy system can be compared to a democratic system which is mostly utilized by democratic government around the world. Modern tax system and economic policies can definitely be traced and attributed from the Persian Empire's rule.
